Luca Vaillant is a VFX and CGI artist based in the Netherlands, graduating from the Netherlands Filmacademy (2022–2026).
It started with one question: how do they do that? Five years later, that question drives everything. With a photographer for a father and a passion for editing since 2017, the creative instinct was always there. The technical obsession came later, sparked by films and internet VFX that seemed impossible until they weren't.
He specializes in Houdini-based FX and CFX, does compositing, and can generalize across the full 3D pipeline. Currently leaning toward high-end film, shorts, and CG cinematics.
Outside of studio work, Luca creates VFX content under the alias lucadepuca, amassing over 13 million views on TikTok and building an audience around the craft.
